Your journey in Tarn, Midi Pyrénées
Albi, the Unesco World Heritage episcopal city
From wherever you are in the countryside overlooking Albi, you can see the imposing world's largest brick of Sainte-Cecile Cathedral . This cathedral is not only a formidable fortress, but a vigilant guardian of the city which has grown peacefully by its side.
The Berbie palace , adjoins the cathedral on the north side. Built by the inquisitor bishops at the time for use as military fortress, it bears little resemblance at first sight to a palace.
Take the door to the left of the Toulouse-Lautrec museum entrance ; you are now in the largest world-wide exhibitor of Toulouse-Lautrec paintings
Gaillac wine route
You'll come accross wineries and cellars...
… so why not pay a visit to the Gaillacois. Ideal for a touring holiday, France’s Gaillac region is one of the oldest wine-growing areas in the country.
Come and get to know its three terroirs (soils), its grape varieties: Mauzac, Loin de l’œil, Duras and Braucol) and its characterful wines (red, white, rosé or fraîcheur
perlée).

Bastides
Among the most beautiful villages in France
The churches, abbeys, fortified villages or modest little chapels will take you back in time, inviting you to stroll in their medieval back streets, to enjoy the cool shade of their cloistered
squares and stroke their powdery pink brickwork.
It is a landscape in which rugged majesty is softened by the presence of streams and lakes, a landscape just asking to be visited, whether it’s just for a gentle walk, or, for the more active, a
more serious outing on foot or on horseback. If you fancy a cycling holiday, France offers few more interesting areas to tour by mountain-bike.
